the inner world

This is a 3' x 4' acrylic painting on raw canvas.  It started out as a drop cloth and then took on a life of its own.   I tried to capture the idea that the inner world that we think we perceive has almost no relation to the world that is really out there. You could assume that this painting represents the bizarre inner model that your brain has of the outer world.  Or, you could assume that your inner world is, in fact, quite reasonable, and that this painting represents the outer world as it really exists.  Notice that the landscape is sprinkled with sense organs.
